Ohio woman dies trying to rescue dogs from Shenango River reservoir

A missing Ohio woman died trying to rescue her two dogs that had fallen through the ice on a reservoir, police said.

Jean Black, 56, of Hubbard, Ohio and her two dogs were recovered from the Shenango River reservoir this morning, Pymatuning Township police said.

Police believe her death was accidental and do not suspect foul play. Neither of the dogs survived.

Ms. Black's vehicle was located near the recreation area off of West Lake Road, police said. She was reported missing in Trumbull County, Ohio on Wednesday, police said.
