A North Side man is in the Allegheny County Jail today after being charged Tuesday in connection with a Crafton Heights shooting.

Vieng Samay, 55, shot a man Monday in the back of the head through the back window of the vehicle the man was sitting in on Woodlow Street, Pittsburgh police said in a press release.

The shooting happened after what police described as a drug deal on the North Side.

The injured man, a 22-year-old from McKees Rocks, was treated at Allegheny General Hospital.

Mr. Samay is in the Allegheny County Jail charged with six counts of aggravated assault, three counts of reckless endangerment and one count of tampering with evidence, police said.
