Jurors at the trial of former State Correctional Institution Pittsburgh corrections officer Harry F. Nicoletti Jr. left the Allegheny County Courthouse today without rendering a verdict and are set to resume deliberations Monday.

Mr. Nicoletti faces 80 criminal counts ranging from official oppression to involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, based largely on the testimony of 20 former SCI Pittsburgh inmates.

He testified that he was innocent and did not know why the inmates, many of whom were imprisoned for sex crimes, were targeting him.

Judge David R. Cashman charged the jury this morning. The trial included 11 days of testimony.
