Millvale residents should brace themselves for a weeks-long closure of the off-ramp from northbound state Route 28 to their borough beginning Tuesday at 7 a.m., PennDOT announced today.

By closing Exit 3 through mid-October, PennDOT will be able to repair concrete, paint, pave and perform other improvements in the area.

Drivers wishing to detour will effectively have to make a U-turn by taking the Sharpsburg off-ramp (Exit 5A), turning left onto Bridge Street and left again onto the southbound Route 28 on-ramp, and then using the southbound Millvale off-ramp.
