Police in Indiana Borough are searching for two men they say scammed a Sheetz cashier into giving them $144 in change they didn't deserve.

The two men walked to the register of the Sheetz on Wayne Avenue about 6:25 p.m. Sunday. One paid for a cigar with a $50 bill while telling the chashier over and over the change was all wrong, Indiana police Cpl. Wes Hite said. The other man distracted the manager, the corporal said.

Flustered, the cashier handed over $144 in change, Cpl. Hite said.

The men left in a small green SUV, possibly a Suzuki or a Kia, according to a police press release. The police are reviewing video footage in hopes of identifying the suspects.

Indiana police asked anyone with information about the theft or the men behind it to call them at 724-349-2121.
