Man claims he has a bomb, robs Fayette County bank

Pennsylvania State Police and the FBI are investigating a bank robbery this morning at a First National Bank branch in Fayette County.

The robbery, at the bank's office on Indian Head Road in Saltlick Township, occurred at 10:07 a.m. Investigators said a man wearing a gray hoodie and mask entered the bank, brandished a handgun and said he had a bomb.

Tellers gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash, and he got away in an older white Chevrolet Blazer.

Witnesses reported seeing the Blazer on Route 711 just south of Normalville minutes after the robbery.

Information leading to an arrest could result in a reward of up to $1,000.
