Lawrenceville boy 2nd in marbles tournament

A Lawrenceville boy with from a family of marbles players placed second in the nation Thursday during a national tournament.

Jordan Narr, 14, the current boys' marble champion in the county, competed this week at the 89th National Marbles Tournament in Wildwood, N.J.

His cousins, Emily Cavacini, 9, of Shaler, and Brooke Narr, 13, of Lawrenceville, were eliminated in the semifinals, as were Nick Cavacini and Ben Eddings, also of Allegheny County.

The county's marbles program, which is free to children 14 and younger, will begin again next March.
