A crash this morning in Indiana County has killed two people, the Indiana County coroner said.

A 1996 Ford Contour hit a large tree on Route 403 about one mile south of Marion Center in East Mahoning.

Indiana County coroner Michael Baker said in a press release that he suspects alcohol played a role in the crash.

Mr. Baker identified the car's driver as Curtis Lee Kunkle, 49, Marion Center. The coroner identified Mr. Kunkle's passenger as Leeann Marie Komlosky, 36, also of Marion Center.

Both were killed in the crash. Mr. Kunkle was partially ejected from the rear of the car, Mr. Baker said.

The 911 call was received about 3 a.m.

No autopsies are planned and toxicology tests are pending.

Pennsylvania State Police in the Indiana County barracks are investigating.
