Head-on collision in Indiana County claims 4-year-old

A 4-year-old child was killed this morning in a head-on car crash in in Indiana County.
The child was riding in a car on Lucerne Road in Center that crossed into oncoming traffic and slammed into an oncoming vehicle.
The child, who was restrained in a booster seat, was pronounced dead at the scene. An adult passenger sustained serious injuries, but another infant, a 2-year-old, escaped uninjured, state police said.
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured, troopers said.
State police have summoned reconstruction specialists to the scene as they investigate.
