An organization dedicated to preserving remnants of the region's steel industry will receive a grant from the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources to bolster their efforts.

State Sen. Jay Costa, D-Forest Hills, announced Tuesday that Rivers of Steel Heritage will receive an $100,000 for projects at three of its sites, including the Bost Building in Homestead and the Pump House in Munhall.

The money will be used to install sustainable, renewable energy sources within some of the organization's historic facilities.
