Government, postal service and banks pause for Christmas

All City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, state and federal offices and courts will be closed Tuesday for Christmas.

Banks and liquor stores will be closed. Post offices will be open today, with pickup and delivery of regular mail, but most locations will shorten retail lobby hours and close at noon. Post offices will be closed Tuesday.

PennDOT driver's license and photo centers will also be closed Christmas Day.

Port Authority bus, T and incline service will run on holiday schedules Christmas Day, but the Downtown Service Center will be closed. The customer service line (412-442-2000) will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

City garbage pickup will be delayed one day.
