Frost advisory issued for much of the Pittsburgh district

The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for portions of Western Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia overnight.

The weather service said colder air will pour into the region with clearing skies and lighter winds. "Widespread frost is expected in portions of eastern Ohio, where conditions are likely to be the coldest, while areas of frost are likely to string out in portions of Western Pennsylvania and the northern West Virginia panhandle as well by early Monday morning," the advisory stated.

It will be in effect from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. Monday.
