Fayette County man accused of rape

A Fayette County man was arraigned today on charges that he raped a teenage girl five times over more than year.
State police in Belle Vernon said David Stewart, 48, of Dawson, assaulted the girl for the first time in 2010, when she was 14, and the assaults continued until until October of this year.
Troopers said Mr. Stewart was "watching over" the girl when the assaults occurred but did not elaborate.
Mr. Stewart is charged with multiple counts of rape, unlawful contact with a minor, sexual assault and other crimes.
Online court records show that he is being held in the Fayette County Prison on $100,000 bail.
