Crime Stoppers sets reward for info about Stowe shooting

Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of a man police say shot another man in the leg in Stowe.

A warrant was obtained for Tyler Boyd-Chaney, 18, in the shooting Dec. 16 in the Pleasant Ridge housing complex. A Crime Stoppers press release said he could be armed and is dangerous.

Mr. Boyd-Chaney is described as a light-skin black male, 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 130 pounds. He is known to frequent Stowe and McKees Rocks, Crime Stoppers said.

He has been charged with carrying a firearm without a license, aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person.
