Columbus Day brings some closings

Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and federal government offices and courts will be closed Monday for the Columbus Day holiday. Post offices will be closed, with no pickup and delivery of regular mail. Traditional banks will be closed, although Citizens Bank branches in Giant Eagle stores will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. State liquor stores will be open. PennDOT driver license centers are also closed today.

City of Pittsburgh offices will be open, with normal garbage pickup.

The Port Authority of Allegheny County will operate regular daily bus, incline and T service. The customer service line will operate on its regular schedule, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., and the Downtown Service Center will be open.
