Closings announced for Columbus Day

Federal, state and Allegheny County government offices and courts are closed today for the Columbus Day holiday.
Post offices are closed, with no pickup or delivery of regular mail. Traditional banks are closed, although Citizens Bank branches in Giant Eagle stores are open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. State liquor stores are open.
City of Pittsburgh offices are open, with normal garbage pickup.
The Port Authority of Allegheny County is operating regular daily bus, incline and T service. The customer service line is operating on its regular schedule, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., and the Downtown Service Center is open.
