CCAC hikes fund goal

The Community College of Allegheny County is entering the public phase of its fundraising campaign and has increased the overall goal to $40 million, up from $30 million.
The College's Imagine & Achieve Campaign is intended to support various program and capital needs, including the construction of the new K. Leroy Irvis Science Center. The building is now under construction on CCAC's Allegheny Campus.
College officials said the campaign has surpassed its initial $30 million goal and officals have added a "stretch" goal to the campaign. A kick-off event is set for 10 a.m. today at PNC Bank 249 Fifth Ave., Downtown, 16th floor boardroom No. 8.
