Carnegie man guilty in Hill district killing

A Carnegie man was found guilty of first-degree murder today for a shooting in Elmore Square.
Tersaun Cole, 22, was accused of killing Teante Hill, 30, during a robbery on Dec. 30, 2010, in the Hill District.
A witness told police that Mr. Cole and two unknown males asked him for drugs and pulled out guns, according to the criminal complaint.
Mr. Hill tried to intervene in the ensuing struggle and was shot.
He was also found guilty of robbery, conspiracy and a firearms violation.
Mr. Cole will be sentenced by Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge Jill E. Rangos on June 13. He faces a mandatory term of life in prison without parole on the murder count.
