Snowbirds, take note:

The Allegheny Parks and Recreation Department is reopening the Boyce Park ski slopes and snow-tubing areas this morning.

The ski area will be open from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., close for half an hour and reopen from 4 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.

The snow-tubing area will be open from 9:30 a.m. until noon, 12:30 p.m. until 3 p.m., 3:30 p.m. until 6 p.m., and 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m.

But for outdoor enthusiasts, today may be a better day to bike or jog.

The weather forecast is for sunshine and a high temperature of 48.

You could save the skiing for tomorrow and the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Monday.

Snow and cold are in the forecast for both days, with temperatures Sunday only rising to 33 and Monday just to 23. Snow showers are a possibility through Tuesday, when the high is expected to be just 18 degrees.
