Advocate for disabled named to Port Authority board

John Tague, a longtime advocate for disabled people and public transit, has been appointed by Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald to serve on the Port Authority board.

Mr. Tague, 65, of Greenfield, has worked for more than 20 years on issues related to disabilities. He is principal of JT Consulting Services, which advises companies and organizations on policies and training.

He serves on the Pittsburgh Human Relations Commission and state Vocational Rehabilitation Board and is a past chair of the Governor's Advisory Committee for People with Disabilities.

The nine-member authority board is unsalaried.
