West suburbs: When it's time for trick or treat

Here is a list of trick-or-treat hours and Halloween activities in West communities:

Allegheny County

Bridgeville: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday

Carnegie: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday

The annual children's parade will start at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Main Street Bridge. Registration begins at noon for prizes for best costumes in age groups. Each child will receive a treat bag and a raffle ticket for other treats.

The Trail of Terror fundraiser to benefit the proposed skate park in Carnegie Park will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. A pumpkin patch and refreshments will be available. Cost: $7 for adults, $5 for children.

Collier: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday

Coraopolis: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday

Crafton: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday

Crescent: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday

Findlay: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday

Green Tree: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday

A Halloween costume parade with treats and entertainment will be held from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Green Tree Fire Hall. Weird Eric will present a magic show. The event is sponsored by the borough recreation and community activities board, American Legion Post No. 823 and District Judge Gary Zyra.

Heidelberg: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday

A parade will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday at Ellsworth playground and end at the firehouse. A party will follow with entertainment, lunch and giveaways.

Ingram: A parade and trick-or-treat will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, with parade lineup at the borough building.

Kennedy: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday

McKees Rocks: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday

Moon: 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday

Neville: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday

North Fayette: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday

Oakdale: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday

Pennsbury Village: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday

Pittsburgh: Chartiers City, Crafton Heights, East Carnegie, Elliott, Esplen: 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Sheraden: 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday.

Robinson: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday

The annual party in the park will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Rotary Shelter in Clever Park. The event will begin with a parade led by the Forest Grove Volunteer Fire Department and the Montour marching band.

Rosslyn Farms: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday

Scott: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday

South Fayette: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday

Stowe: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday

Thornburg: A parade of characters will begin at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday at Yale and Cornell streets, followed immediately by trick or treat.
