New license center
The state Department of Transportation's East Rochester driver license and photo center has moved from 149 Stewart Ave. to 2580 Constitution Blvd. in the Chippewa Plaza in Beaver Falls.
The new center provides a larger, updated facility with additional seating to improve service. The facility also will offer services such as knowledge and on-the-road skills testing, out-of-state driver's license transfers for new residents and replacement driver's license and photo ID cards.
Driver license center hours of operation are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The photo center hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Thursday hours continue until 6 p.m.

Adult degree program
Geneva College's adult degree completion program, an accelerated undergraduate program for adults who have some college and/or work experience, will offer an online bachelor's degree completion program.
The first class begins on March 4, 2013, and applications are now being accepted.
Application workshop
The Penn State Beaver admissions office will host a free application workshop from 3 to 7 p.m., next Wednesday in the admissions office in the Student Union Building.
Admissions staff members will help students complete an application to any Penn State campus. Those applying to Beaver campus may receive a decision immediately, and the $50 application fee will be waived. All participants must bring transcripts. Campus tours will be available.

• The Beaver Valley Area chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association is conducting its annual Gift Drive for Beaver County Children and Youth Services.
Participants will be provided with the first name, age and gift preferences of a child and will purchase, wrap and deliver the gift to Penn State Beaver. The chapter requests that each gift have a value of $25-$30.
In lieu of buying a gift, participants have the option of making a $25-30 contribution to the alumni chapter, whose members will buy and wrap presents for children.

On each wrapped package, donors must include a gift tag stating the child's first name and the caseworker code. Gifts can be dropped off from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 7 or from 10 a.m. to noon Dec. 8 in the Beaver campus Student Union Building, Room 16.
When dropping off gifts, participants are also asked to bring a nonperishable food item for the alumni chapter's annual holiday food drive.
Donations can be made in cash or by check payable to Beaver Valley Area Chapter PSAA and mailed to Office of Campus and Community Relations, Penn State Beaver, 100 University Drive, Monaca, PA 15061.

• The Office of Career Services is seeking year-round donations for its career closet, a program that provides free, professional apparel for male and female students seeking internships and/or jobs. Clean, gently used or new clothing and other professional accessories are requested. In turn, the donations will be given to students planning to enter the workforce but in need of professional attire.
Items needed include men's and women's suits and blazers, slacks, ties, polo shirts, blouses, jackets, shoes, belts and briefcases. They can be delivered to the campus from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays in rooms 101 or 115, Student Union Building. Arrangements can also be made for donations to be picked up by campus staff or students.

Tech donations
The University of Phoenix Pittsburgh campus has donated $3,000, 22 computer towers, 30 flat panel monitors, two laptops and six DVD/VCR players to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania, Carnegie branch.
The campus also has collected more than 300 school supplies on behalf of the club. Among the items are book bags, crayons, flash cards, notebooks, folders, pens, pencils and other items.
New app feature
Heritage Valley Health System is introducing a new feature to its Version 2.0 "iHVHS" Apple iPhone app to include a digital version of its Heritage Valley Care Card, which was introduced in 2001.
The card enables patients and providers access to personal health care information through a bar-coded card. Care cards can be scanned at touch screen kiosks in various Heritage Valley facilities to streamline the patient registration process.
The Care Card Manager feature allows users to manage care cards for the entire family and scan the virtual care card on their iPhone to "digitally" register at Heritage Valley Health System facilities.
iHVHS enables users to access health care comparison data and locate a Heritage Valley physician or service. The app uses geo-tracking to direct consumers to the nearest Heritage Valley site.
