Job fair

A variety of businesses and organizations will provide information about job opportunities in fields such as state civil service, health care, education, retail, banking, criminal justice, insurance, social services and communications during a job fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today in the student Union Building Lodge.

Toys for Tots

In Carnegie, new, unwrapped toys may be dropped off until mid-December at the municipal building lobby or the police department. In Heidelberg, unopened toys can be placed in the donation box at the municipal building or can be brought to the First Night of Lights Celebration at 6 p.m. Dec. 1 at the Ellsworth Avenue playground.

COLLIER

Woodville Plantation demonstration

Re-enactors will set up camp, present demonstrations of musket firing, marching and ceremonial drills and will discuss 18th century military camp life during a program from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Woodville Plantation, Washington Pike.

Admission will be $2 Saturday and $5 Sunday.

Power plant hearing

The state Department of Environmental Protection will host a public hearing on its application for renewal of its operating permit for the Bruce Mansfield Power Station in Shippingport from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today in the South Side Area High School auditorium, 4949 State Route 151.
