Pastor charged with assaulting his grown daughter in Beaver County park

A Beaver County pastor is facing charges that he assaulted his grown daughter during a family fight Thursday morning in Raccoon Creek State Park, state police said.
The Rev. Darrell Cashdollar, 59, was carrying a gun in a wooded area of the park, so rangers called state police to the scene. Police monitored the area with helicopters and set up a perimeter until the incident de-escalated.
Park officers arrested the New Brighton man on charges of simple assault and harassment, rangers said.
There are no charges yet filed associated with the .38-caliber revolver he was carrying, said rangers. Rev. Cashdollar was a part-time deputy at the Beaver County sheriff's office more than 25 years ago, the sheriff said. Though he had a legal gun permit, the sheriff said the permit was now revoked and Rev. Cashdollar will not be allowed to carry the revolver anymore.
Rev. Cashdollar's wife, Carol Cashdollar, also was present at the scene, but rangers said the charges only involve his adult daughter Tiffany, whose last name was unknown. Rangers said Tiffany had visible marks on her neck when her father was arrested and that she was taken to the hospital for observation.
The pastor, who preaches at the Paris Church of the Nazarene in Burgettstown, Washington County, was taken to Beaver County jail Thursday night, rangers said.
The investigation is continuing under Department of Conservation and Natural Resources park rangers.
