A Moon woman has been charged with 68 counts of sexual abuse of children and other crimes, the state attorney general's office announced Monday.

Pamela Smallis, 49, was arrested Sunday and charged with 16 counts of unlawful contact with a minor, five counts of sexual exploitation of children and five counts of child endangerment.

She was also arrested in April during an investigation into the distribution of narcotics and prescription drugs to minors, at which point state agents studied her cell phone and discovered a large amount of child pornography, the attorney general's office said. Investigators said they found 33 pictures and two videos of naked children engaged in sexual activity on Ms. Smallis' phone. A woman's voice, identified by investigators as that of Ms. Smallis, can be heard directing the children in some of the videos, according to a criminal complaint. Detectives believe it was Ms. Smallis who filmed the sex acts.

In the April drug case, Ms. Smallis was charged with at least 15 crimes, including drug possession with intent to deliver, child endangerment and solicitation of minors in the trafficking of drugs. Police told KDKA-TV at that time that Ms. Smallis used her juvenile children during drug deals.
