McKees Rocks police are searching for a man who they said pistol-whipped a father and son and fired shots at them last month.

Police have obtained an arrest warrant for Claude Banks, 34, of McKees Rocks, charging him with two counts each of attempted homicide, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.

Police say Mr. Banks fired two rounds at James and Gage Jones during a Sept. 23 incident in which the father and son were trying to break up a fight between Mr. Banks and another man in the 900 block of Island Avenue, police said.

James Jones, 41, and his son, 22, were assaulted when they intervened.

McKees Rocks police urged anyone with information on Mr. Banks' whereabouts to call them at 412-331-2302.
