Heidelberg Borough Council set the real-estate millage rate at 6.95 mills in a unanimous vote Tuesday night in a 2013 budget that calls for spending $1.3 million.

The borough also will not be collecting the per-capita tax of $5 for every resident older than 18 in the borough this year.

"It's nice to be able to give the people some tax cut this year," said borough manager Joe Kauer.
