Head trauma caused death of girl, 16, in sledding accident

A teenager died in a sledding crash of blunt force trauma to her head, the Allegheny County medical examiner has ruled.

Jenna Prusia, 16, of Apollo, a junior at Kiski Area High School, was pronounced dead at 6:36 p.m. Friday at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC.

She was hurt while sledding two hours earlier on private property in Bell, Westmoreland County. She was flown by medical helicopter to Children's, where she died.
