Range Resources-Appalachia LLC of Cecil is applying to drill the Marcellus Shale on two properties in Robinson, Washington County.

Supervisors held a public hearing tonight on an application for a single well pad with up to six natural gas wells on 168 acres owned by Micheale Parees and Robert Frame on Midway-Candor Road.

Despite an objection from the gas firm's attorney, Shawn Gallagher, the supervisors voted 3-0 to continue the hearing to Dec. 10. The township's decision on the application will be due within 45 days of the end of the hearing.

A public hearing also will be held Dec. 10 on an application for a well pad on Valleyview Road, on property owned by Rodger and Susan Kendall. That hearing was delayed a month at the request of Range Resources.
