The public is invited to an open house from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the Findlay Activity Center, 310 Main St. in Imperial, to learn about Marcellus Shale drilling plans at Pittsburgh International Airport.

The Allegheny County Airport Authority and drilling firm Consol Energy will set up educational stations on natural gas well locations and processes, Findlay officials said tonight.

The township board of supervisors had pushed for a meeting to be held in Findlay, where six of the seven planned well pads are located, vice chairwoman Janet Craig said.

"This is the opportunity for the residents of Findlay to be able to see information and ask questions," she said. "It's our residents that are going to be affected."
