Car crashes into McKees Rocks restaurant

A man was arrested on drunk driving and other charges after the car he was driving crashed into a McKees Rocks restaurant just after midnight today, police said.

John Kuth, 23, of Pittsburgh's Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood, drove the car into Carol Ann's Corner Store Restaurant on George Street, pinning 56-year-old John Katko against the wall, police said.

Mr. Katko was alert and conscious when police arrived and was taken to Allegheny General Hospital for treatment.

Mr. Kuth, who was driving a friend's car, faces nine related charges, including driving under the influence, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, aggravated assault by vehicle, and careless and reckless driving, police said.

The friend, Francisco Sanchez, who was in the passenger seat, has not been charged.
