Body pulled from Ohio River identified

The Allegheny County medical examiner's office identified a man found dead Monday in the Ohio River as 50-year-old David Meredith.
The body of Mr. Meredith, of Ridgemont, was spotted by two fishermen in the river near Brunot Island in McKees Rocks about 2:15 p.m. Rescue personnel pulled the body to a nearby boat dock.
An autopsy was being performed this afternoon.
Allegheny County homicide detectives are investigating.
