And the WPIAL Class AA boys basketball championship trophy went home on the Beaver Falls bus again.

Beaver Falls High School won the title for the second year in a row this afternoon, routing Burrell, 61-33, at Palumbo Center. The win also was the 300th in the career of coach Doug Biega.

Senior guard Drew Cook scored 20 points to lead Beaver Falls. Elijah Cottrill added 14 and Danny Stratton 13 points and seven rebounds.

Cole Bush and Pete Spagnolo scored 14 each for Burrell.

The game was a mismatch from the start. Burrell had major problems dealing with Beaver Falls' full-court, man-to-man pressure defense. Burrell made seven turnovers in the first five minutes of the game and finished the game with 28. Beaver Falls had only six turnovers.

Beaver Falls scored the first 15 points of the game and Burrell didn't score until 1:04 was left in the first quarter. Beaver Falls led at halftime, 32-8.
