An airliner bound for Salt Lake City was diverted to Pittsburgh International Airport without incident Wednesday.
United flight UA645 from Dulles International Airport near Washington, D.C., was diverted when a pilot smelled fumes in the cabin, airport spokeswoman Joann Jenny said.
The Airbus A319 landed without incident at 7 p.m., she said. Airport firefighters investigated, didn't find any problems and turned the plane over to United mechanics, she said, adding no passengers or employees sought treatment.
