Two injured in Mon boating accident in Forward

A man and a woman suffered serious injuries following an accident on the Monongahela River in Forward this evening.

According to KDKA-TV, the man and woman were riding a Wave Runner on the Monongahela River when they collided with a boat. Both were flown to UPMC Mercy after 8 p.m. None of the passengers on the boat were injured.

Forward police did not have details about how the accident occurred but are interviewing witnesses.
