Train derails in Homestead

A train derailed around 8:30 p.m. Friday night about a mile north of Sandcastle in Homestead, an emergency dispatch supervisor said.

There were no injuries, no major disruptions, and no railroad crossings in the area have been closed, the supervisor said, adding that the railroad company is handling the derailment.
