Teen struck by car; one in custody

One person is in police custody today following a hit-and-run that left a pedestrian teenager hospitalized.
A Fayette County emergency dispatcher said a 16-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle at 1:30 a.m. today on New Geneva Road in Springhill. The driver of the vehicle fled but was later apprehended by authorities, the dispatcher said.
State police at Uniontown were unable to provide additional details.
The teenager was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. A report on her medical condition was not available.
