CLASSES
Jefferson Hills -- Three Allegheny County/Penn State Master Gardeners programs will be held in the community room of Jefferson Hills Municipal Center, 925 Old Clairton Road. A class on pruning trees, shrubs and perennials will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. next Thursday, March 21 and April 25. Mt. Lebanon -- A free, two-hour SAT workshop will be offered at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Lebanon Public Library, 16 Castle Shannon Blvd. Lectures will be given on strategies for math, critical reading, writing, multiple choice and essay sections.
Peters -- Learn the basics of Excel spreadsheets at a class from 7 to 8:45 p.m. Tuesday at Peters Township Public Library, 616 E. McMurray Road. Cost is $5.
FITNESS
Jefferson Hills -- An eight-week Zumba fitness class will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays through March 12 at Jefferson Hills Public Library, 925 Old Clairton Road. Tuition: $5 per class.
FUNDRAISERS
Bridgeville -- The Mansfield 5 and the Four Townsmen will perform at the third annual fundraising concert held by the nonprofit South Fayette Foundation for Excellence. The concert will be held at 7 p.m. March 2 at the SNPJ Lodge 6, 540 Third Ave. The foundation raises money for teacher grants, student scholarships, and instructional supplies, technology and equipment for the South Fayette School District. Pleasant Hills -- Pleasant Hills Public Library will hold a fundraiser all day Wednesday at the Pizza Hut on Route 51 near Century III Mall. Whitehall -- The Sisters of St. Francis of the Providence of God are selling haluski -- a cabbage and noodle dish -- and soup and dinner rolls for takeout Feb. 13, Ash Wednesday. Orders should be placed by next Thursday: 412-885-7232. All proceeds benefit the sisters.
