CHILDREN

Whitehall -- Teen tech gurus will lead a workshop on how to use e-readers Saturday at Whitehall Public Library, 100 Borough Park Drive. The workshop will focus on Nooks from 10 a.m. to noon and Kindles from 1 to 3 p.m. No registration required. Make certain devices are fully charged and bring USB cable.
FITNESS
Baldwin Borough -- An eight-week beginner course in tai chi will be taught by Gurney Bolster from 10 to 11 a.m. Mondays, starting Monday through March 4, at Baldwin Borough Public Library, 41 Macek Drive. Bethel Park -- Christ United Methodist Church, 44 Highland Road, will hold a series of exercise classes to start the new year. A general exercise class will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Jefferson Hills -- An eight-week Zumba fitness class will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 22 through March 12, at Jefferson Hills Public Library, 925 Old Clairton Road. Tuition: $5 per class.
FUNDRAISERS
Mt. Lebanon -- Mt. Lebanon Public Library will host a beer-and-chili fundraiser called Brews for a Chili Night III from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 26 at the library, 16 Castle Shannon Blvd. Admission: $30. Tickets: on sale at library's front desk; not available at the door. Admission includes complimentary beers from two dozen craft brewers, cider, soft drinks, homemade chili, snacks and deserts. Musical entertainment by Cello Fury. All proceeds support programs and materials at the library.

Whitehall -- The Autism Society of Pittsburgh will hold its first parent support group and discussion meeting for parents and adult caregivers at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Whitehall Public Library, 100 Borough Park Drive. Starting in February, the group will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month at the library. Registration not required.
PERFORMANCES
Brentwood -- St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 4048 Brownsville Road, will hold a winter concert for all ages featuring local bands at 6 p.m. Jan. 26.
SALE
Pleasant Hills -- The Pleasant Hills Lions Club is searching for vendors for its Farmers Market, which will be held from 3:30 to 7 p.m. every Thursday, May 16 through Oct. 27, in the parking lot of Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church, 199 Old Clairton Road. Bridgeville -- Kristy Williamson, director of client services for Country Meadows At Home retirement communities, will give a talk titled "Navigating the Maze of Senior Care" from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Jan. 29 at Frank Sarris Canonsburg Library, 45 N.
