FITNESS

Baldwin Borough -- An eight-week beginner course in tai chi will be taught by Gurney Bolster from 10 to 11 a.m. Mondays, Jan. 14 to March 4, at Baldwin Borough Public Library, 41 Macek Drive. Cost: $50 for eight sessions. Can be paid at first class. Class size limited to 15. Register by Jan. 11: 412-885-5255 or baldwin@einetwork.net.

Jefferson Hills -- An eight-week zumba fitness class will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays, from Jan. 22 through March 12, at Jefferson Hills Public Library, 925 Old Clairton Road. Tuition is $5 per class.

MEETINGS

Bethel Park -- Christ United Methodist Church, 44 Highland Road, will hold a session called Celebrate Recovery to help people who are struggling with "hurts, habits and hang-ups" at 7 p.m. Jan. 28. Information: 412-835-6621.

Peters -- Peters Township Public Library, 616 E. McMurray Road, will hold a free session for college-bound seniors and their parents on how to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 22. Space is limited. Whitehall -- The Autism Society of Pittsburgh will hold its first parent support group and discussion meeting for parents and adult caregivers at 7 p.m. Jan. 8 at Whitehall Public Library, 100 Borough Park Drive. Starting in February, the group will meet at the library on the first Tuesday of each month from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Registration is not required.

SPECIAL INTERESTS

Peters -- The film "Fever Pitch" will be shown from 5 to 7:45 p.m. Jan. 4 at the free monthly movie night in the teen reading room at Peters Township Public Library, 616 E. McMurray Road. All ages welcome.

TALKS

Bethel Park -- The Southwestern Pennsylvania Registered Nurses Club will hear a U.S. Air Force nurse speak about her experiences at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 15 at Hamilton Presbyterian Church, 4500 Baptist Road.

Peters -- A teen book club will discuss "City of Bones," by Cassandra Clare from noon to 12:45 p.m. Jan. 5 at Peters Township Public Library, 616 E. McMurray Road.

Whitehall -- Learn what paperwork is necessary to complete yearly taxes at a free class offered at 1 p.m. Jan. 12 at Whitehall Public Library, 100 Borough Park Drive. Online registration required: www.whitehallpubliclibrary.org.
