CHILDREN

Pleasant Hills -- Preschool story time for ages 31/2 to 5, including songs, a craft and a snack, will be held at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Dec. 18 at Pleasant Hills Public Library, 302 Old Clairton Road. No registration required.

FOOD

Whitehall -- The organization of Baldwin Community Methodist Women will hold its annual homemade cookie sale from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, 5001 Baptist Road. Cookies will be sold for $8 per pound. Proceeds benefit missions for women, children and youth.

FUNDRAISERS

Bentleyville -- Friends of the Bentleyville Public Library is collecting costume jewelry and new or slightly used handbags and scarves for its annual fundraiser. Donations may be dropped off during regular business hours at the library, 931 Main St.

Dormont -- The Keystone Oaks Marching Band is holding its annual Christmas tree and wreath sale through Dec. 15 or until supplies last in the Dormont pool parking lot, 1801 Dormont Ave. Hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekends and 4 to 9 p.m. weekdays. Tree prices range from $25 to $65.

Whitehall -- Dance Workshop by Shari will host its ninth annual benefit performance at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Baldwin High School, 4653 Clairton Blvd. Tickets: $7 at the door. Proceeds benefit Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC's Free Care Fund.

Whitehall -- The Sisters of St. Francis of the Providence of God are selling pumpkin spice, hazelnut and French vanilla coffee and hazelnut decaffeinated coffee during the holiday season in 12-ounce bags for $9.99. HOLIDAY EVENTS

Baldwin -- Santa Claus will be at the South Baldwin Volunteer Fire Station, 5311 McAnulty Road, from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday. The fire department will sell 2013 lottery calendars for $25 each.

Homestead -- Artists who participate in the day programs at Blind and Vision Rehabilitation Services of Pittsburgh will hold a holiday sale from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at 1800 West St.

McKeesport -- McKeesport Little Theater, 1614 Coursin St., will host a Christmas "pajama" party including brunch with Santa at 12:30 p.m. followed by Christmas plays at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Mt. Lebanon -- The Mt. Lebanon Winter Guard will host a pancake breakfast with Santa at 8 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Lebanon High School, 155 Cochran Road. A winter carnival also will be held until noon that day at the high school. Admission: $8 for adults; $4 for ages 2 to 5; free for age 2 and younger. Tickets available at the door.

Scott -- A gingerbread house workshop will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Scott Township Public Library, 301 Lindsay Road. A milk carton base, graham crackers and candy will be supplied. Bring additional candy decorations.

Upper St. Clair -- Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2040 Washington Road, will hold a Christmas breakfast, with shopping and time to visit Santa, at 9 a.m. Saturday in the church's Fellowship Hall. Tickets: $8 for adults; $5 for ages 2 to 12; free for younger than 2.

Upper St. Clair -- A Christmas concert will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2040 Washington Road.

Whitehall -- The Whitehall Green Thumbers Garden Club will meet at 7 tonight to make Christmas wreaths in the Whitehall Borough Building, 100 Borough Park Drive.

PERFORMANCES

Bethel Park -- South Hills Assembly will hold its free Christmas production, "One Bethlehem Night," a Broadway-style musical theater experience, at 7 p.m. Friday through Sunday at the church, 2725 Bethel Church Road.

Mt. Lebanon -- The Mt. Lebanon High School percussion ensemble will hold holiday concerts at 7:30 tonight and Friday and at 2 p.m. Saturday in Mt. Lebanon High School auditorium, 155 Cochran Road. Admission: $10 for adults and $8 for students for tonight and Friday; $6.50 for all seats for Saturday. Tickets: 412-563-4201.
