Baldwin Borough -- Quest Club, which offers games, stories, crafts and snacks for students in grades K-5, will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Fridays through Aug. 10 at Baldwin Borough Public Library, 41 Macek Dr. Information: 412-885-2255.

Peters -- A refresher course on safe driving will be offered to those who have taken the AARP Driver Safety Course within the past three years. The class will be from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Peters Township Public Library, 616 E. McMurray Road. The class costs $5, either by check payable to AARP or on www.aarp.org. Participants should bring current driver's license and their AARP membership number to class.
Whitehall -- A beginners origami class for teenagers will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Aug. 1 at the Whitehall Public Library, 100 Borough Park Dr. Online registration required: www.whitehallpubliclibrary.org.
Peters -- A potluck dinner will be held at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 3 at the Peters Township Public Library, 616 E. McMurray Road. Community members should bring a potluck dish to share made with locally grown food or samples from their own gardens. Bring recipe to share. West Mifflin -- A car cruise, with music, food and a raffle, will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday to benefit Holy Spirit Church, 2603 Old Elizabeth Rd. Rain date is July 29. Information: www.carcruises.com.
Bethel Park -- The DeMarillac Guild of St. Louise de Marillac church will host a flea market from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 27 and from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. July 28, with a bag sale from noon to 1 p.m. July 28 in the lower level of the LeGras Parish Center, 320 McMurray Rd.

Dormont -- The Dormont Farmers Market is open from 4 to 7 p.m. Mondays through October in the parking lot of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, 1417 Alabama Ave.
Jefferson Hills -- The borough of Jefferson Hills Recreation Board will host a coed adult softball tournament at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 12 at the Andrew Reilly Memorial Field on Route 885. Food and raffle tickets will be available for sale. The tournament will benefit volunteer fire companies in the community.
Washington County-- Washington County Department of Parks and Recreation will host a free scavenger hunt at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, starting at Shelter 1 in Ten Mile Creek Park. Pre-registration required: 724-228-6867.
Peters -- Friends of the Montour Trail will host a twilight trail walk along Arrowhead Trail from 8:30 to 10 p.m. July 27. Walkers can start either at Farmhouse Coffee and My Big Fat Greek Gyro, 502 Valley Brook Rd., or at the St. Petersburg Center, 210 Valley Brook Rd. Participants pay $7 to help maintain the expansion of the Montour Trail.
Upper St. Clair -- Western Pennsylvania Mushroom Club will present a slideshow on mushrooms and host a walk from 9 a.m. to noon July 28 at Boyce Mayview Park's Outdoor Classroom, 1571 Mayview Rd. Bring mushrooms from home for identification. Cost: $15, or $10 for mushroom club members with current membership cards.

McKeesport -- Ellen Show, a Heinz History Center ambassador, will discuss the life of child welfare activist and McKeesport High School graduate Sophie Loeb at 2 p.m. Saturday at the McKeesport Heritage Center, 1832 Arboretum Drive. Program is free.
