A South Park woman who joined her husband in leading a conspiracy to sell oxycodone on the street was sentenced today to 11 years and three months in prison.
Shannon Houston Wolfe, 36, and her husband, Brian David Wolfe, have admitted that they recruited pill addicts to fill fake prescriptions for powerful narcotics at area pharmacies then sold the medicines. Both pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to distribute oxycodone.
They were among 10 people indicted in June 2011 in the scheme. U.S. Attorney David J. Hickton has said his office is targeting prescription drug abuse.
U.S. District Judge Gustave Diamond imposed the sentence. Mr. Wolfe is scheduled to be sentenced by him on Jan. 22.
