A South Park woman who joined her husband in leading a conspiracy to sell oxycodone on the street was sentenced Wednesday to 11 years and three months in prison.

Shannon Houston Wolfe, 36, and her husband, Brian David Wolfe, have admitted that they recruited addicts to fill fake prescriptions for narcotics at pharmacies in the region and then sold the medicines. Both pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to distribute oxycodone.

They were among 10 people indicted in June 2011 in the scheme. U.S. Attorney David J. Hickton has said his office is targeting prescription drug abuse.

Mr. Wolfe is scheduled to be sentenced Tuesday.
