Maple Chen, Carla Hoge, Matthew Perryman, Cheng Wang and Sean Yang, all seniors at Peters Township High School, have been named finalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program. They are among 15,000 students nationwide to earn this honor and will now be included in the scholarship awards competition. The students are evaluated based on their academic record, information about the school's curricula and grading system, two sets of test scores, a written recommendation, information about the student's activities and leadership, and a personal essay.
