A South Hills woman who was wanted for fraud and multiple thefts was arrested Wednesday, Pittsburgh police said.

Amanda Krull, 23, was wanted by the city and West Mifflin police as well as the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office on charges including theft by deception and bad checks.

Krull was previously convicted on various theft-related charges, according to court documents. The crimes included soliciting donations for a fake charity, police said.

Police also said Krull approached victims at ATMs and had them deposit a check for her. The victims gave Krull cash for the deposited check, though the check would later be found to be fraudulent, police said, leaving victims out of the money they gave Krull.

Krull was arrested in an Oakland hotel Wednesday and transported to the Allegheny County Jail, police said.
