Police seek information on armed robbery

State police at Uniontown are asking the public's help with an armed robbery that occurred early today in Fayette County.
Police said Dorian L. Mills, 26, of Charleroi, was walking along Five Forks Road in Wharton when someone riding in a two-door vehicle, maroon in color, drove alongside him and asked if he needed a ride. He declined.
The vehicle pulled away then slowed before two people exited it. One person, carrying a rifle, demanded Mr. Mills empty his pockets and backpack.
Police said Mr. Mills struggled with the would-be robbers before they fled. Mr. Mills refused treatment for injuries to his face. The incident occurred at about 12:30 a.m. Police described the assailants as three men in their 20s. Two of them weighed between 140 and 150 pounds and were wearing dark clothes. No description was given of the third man.
