Police investigate shooting in West Homestead

A man was shot in the leg in West Homestead tonight.
An emergency dispatch supervisor said the shooting occurred in the 800 block of Sarah Street about 5:45 p.m. Medics transported the man to UPMC Mercy. His condition was not immediately available.
Allegheny County homicide detectives were called to assist with the investigation, the dispatch supervisor said.
