Pittsburgh police are searching for a South Hills woman accused of conning people into cashing fraudulent checks for her.

Police suspect that Amanda Krull, 23, who frequents Sheraden, Brentwood, Carrick and Brookline, has been approaching people at ATMs and asking them to deposit a check for her and hand her the cash. The people who agreed later found out that the checks Ms. Krull gave them were fraudulent, police spokeswoman Diane Richard said in a news release.

Anyone with information about Ms. Krull's whereabouts is asked to call the Zone 6 plainclothes detectives at 412-937-3051 or 911. Ms. Krull is also wanted by the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office and the West Mifflin Police Department.
