Man guilty of threatening paralyzed police officer

A Wilkinsburg man arrested after threatening a paralyzed Clairton police officer pleaded guilty Tuesday.
Irvin Glaze, 44, will be sentenced by Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge Beth A. Lazzara on June 5 on charges of terroristic threats, harassment, simple assault and disorderly conduct.
On Aug. 27, Mr. Glaze threatened former Clairton Officer James Kuzak, who uses a wheelchair after being shot in a home invasion in April 2011.
According to police, Mr. Glaze spoke to Officer Kuzak outside the courthouse, and at one point became irate, threatening to kick the paralyzed officer out of his wheelchair.
The man fled into the courthouse. He was to attend a mental health court hearing before Judge Lazzara but caused a disturbance. He was asked to leave, swung at a sheriff's deputy, and ultimately was stunned by a Taser.
As a result of that incident, Mr. Glaze also pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, simple assault and reckless endangerment.
